Artist Statement
My work explores states of presence—those subtle, often wordless moments where inner life meets the larger field of existence. Through abstract color, layered surfaces, and fluid movement, I am interested in how emotion, memory, and awareness travel through us, sometimes quietly, sometimes with force.
Painting is an intuitive process for me. I begin with a felt sense rather than a fixed image, allowing color, transparency, and gesture to guide the work as it unfolds. Layers accumulate, dissolve, and reappear, mirroring the way experience itself is formed—through attention, loss, reassembly, and light.
Many of my recent works move between the embodied and the expansive: heart and imagination, earth and sky, the intimate and the infinite. Rather than illustrating a narrative, these paintings invite the viewer into a field—an atmosphere where perception slows and presence deepens.
Ultimately, my work is an offering of space: a place to pause, to feel, and to sense oneself in relation to something larger, luminous, and quietly alive.
